Alleycats’ music is said to be influenced by the Beatles, Air Supply, Phil Collins, Bee Gees, Billy Joel, David Gates & Bread, Santana and Paul McCartney. Many of the Alleycats’ albums were produced by Polygram Records with hit songs such as Hingga Akhir Nanti, Andainya Aku Pergi Dulu, Sekuntum Mawar Merah Sebuah Puisi, Setahun Sudah Berlalu, Seribu Bintang, Nota Terakhir.

After their first huge hit and after 48 years in the business, the Alleycats are still around, actively performing whist at the same time continuing to record their albums.

They have contributed much to the development of the music industry and till today are still regarded as one of the greatest legendary Malaysian pop music bands of all time.
