Egyptian Belly Dance: BALADI Improvisation


Baladi (Arabic: بلدي‎ baladī; relative-adjective “of town”, “local”, “rural”, comparable to English “folk”, with a lower-class connotation) can refer to an Egyptian musical style, the folk style of Egyptian bellydance (Raqs Baladi), or the Masmoudi Sogheir rhythm, which is frequently used in baladi music. It is also sometimes spelled in English as ‘beledi’ or ‘baladee’.

Instructor profile
Ukrainian artist based in KL since 2009. Shares her passion in dance with young and adult students for more than 8 years. Had a 7 years ballet school training in Ukraine, a few years later get the exposure in Belly Dance and became a full time teacher in 2006. Currently teaching Belly Dance, RAD Ballet and Flamenco.
