Damn Dirty Apes

Damn Dirty Apes (DDA) are known as the first post-rock of Malaysia and credited for influencing a slew of new generation of rockers. They released their debut “Valve State Dreams” in 2002 with an overwhelming response. The single “Charlie” was on heavy rotation on the airwaves and the EP had sold more than 5000 units in less than 6 months. They performed on “Rock the world 3” (2002) and the inaugural launch of Urbanscapes. The second release “Ape Kill Ape” (2004) was rather low key since most members had disbanded and left the country. They still managed to perform at the second Urbanscapes and sold out the first print of the album. In 2006, sole original member Pedram Djavadkhani enlisted new members to continue. They performed “Rock the world 7” and Urbanscapes(2006 & 2010) but kept a low profile.
